We offer the full range of cuts and steaks, plus specialty products including salami, biersticks, three kinds of sausages, osso bucco, skirt steak, suet fat, beef liver, and tongue. We do our best to accommodate specific requests too — just ask.

All products are nitrate, preservative, and gluten free. Our Keto Sausages are also carbohydrate free.

Welcome to Black Pond Farm — a small, family-owned operation run by Hamish and Robyn from their 106-hectare farm in Mangatangi, Waikato. Certified organic and holistically managed, this is farming done the right way: with nature leading the way.

Their beef is free range, grass-fed, and BioGro certified — completely free from steroids, hormones, antibiotics, and synthetic inputs of any kind. Farm to fork, from their family to yours.

Our Land

Black Pond Farm is a 106-hectare family-owned property in Mangatangi, Waikato, run by Robyn Budd and Hamish Browne. We’re a small operation with a big commitment to quality — raising certified organic, free-range, grass-fed beef the way nature intended. If it carries the Black Pond Farm name, you can be sure it’s safe, authentic, and premium.

Our Animals

We believe our slice of Aotearoa should be the best it can be for future generations. Thirty of our 106 hectares is in covenanted bush protected by QEII, and we’ve fenced and planted our guts and gullies in native trees. We actively work to eliminate noxious weeds and pests, and the results speak for themselves — flourishing native birds, lizards, freshwater crayfish, and healthy tuna populations in our streams.

Our Farm

With nature taking the lead, we observe, listen, and support. Our cattle are raised free-range and grass-fed on holistically managed pasture, giving you beef that’s wholesome, flavourful, and fully certified organic. We stay in control of our animals’ welfare right to the very end — it’s the only way we know how to do it.
